It's become a New Years Eve tradition to go to Mele and Alika's house in Sulani.

Then the Kahananuis had a very serious topic to discuss with our number one parents.
"So you guys know we're reaching our twilight years, yet our kids are still very young. When we die, well most likely when I die since Alika is older than I am and will probably go first, the social worker will take the kids and who knows where they will end up. I know they're getting closer to your kids and you're our closest friends, so we want to ask... will you take them in?"
Well, Quinn and Evangeline were a little shocked, but overall not surprised. They had previously tried to discourage them from having their fourth child, Abbie, due to their age.
"Take as much time as you need to think about it."
Then it was time for the countdown, and Evangeline hugged her daughter.
These people are obsessed with tea.
"So, what do you think of Mele and Alika's proposal?"
"Geez, Quinn, I was shocked even though I was half expecting it. They're a whole age older than us yet our kids are the same age. Literally, I was pregnant with Remy when she was pregnant with Osvaldo, and I was pregnant with Camilla when she was pregnant with the twins."
"We have to give this a lot of thought."
Ugh.
Evangeline made a smog vacuum. The air is pretty clear in their neighbourhood, so not sure how effective this was.
Look at Professor Gump. Quinn and Evangeline are both on level 9 of their respective careers - for Quinn, that's being a university professor.

"The more I think about it, the more I think it is the right thing to do. I've grown quite fond of those kids, and I don't want to see them grow up in the system. And it wouldn't be fair to Mele and Alika. Mele's been a great friend to us, ever since we moved here."

The whole household is getting sick. Quinn doesn't look too crash hot.
I feel like this is turning into a sitcom where each episode ends with the parents sitting down for tea and a chat.
